Meet Shannon Takabayashi

Aloha. Integrity. Home.

Born and raised in Hawai'i, I am proud to be Native Hawaiian and have a deep connection to my culture and heritage. My mother is pure Hawaiian and my father is of German, Irish, and Dutch descent, giving me a unique perspective that blends tradition with diversity. I am married and blessed with a beautiful, blended family of eight children, which has taught me the true meaning of patience, balance, and unconditional love.

Being raised in Hawai'i, I embrace the values of the Hawaiian culture, where family, community, and respect for others come first. I believe in treating people with kindness, integrity, and compassion, and I strive to share the Aloha Spirit in everything I do-both personally and professionally.

For 24 years, I have dedicated my career to the real estate profession I truly love. More than just a job, it is my calling and passion. I find great fulfillment in helping others achieve their homeownership dreams and guiding families through one of the most important decisions of their lives. Let’s start a conversation to see how I can help you with your real estate goals here in Hawai’i.

Questions clients ask before we get started

Clear answers about Shannon Takabayashi's services on Hawai'i Island and the best ways to reach her.

What areas do you serve on Hawai'i Island?

Shannon Takabayashi serves buyers and sellers across Hawai'i Island (Big Island), including Hilo, Pahoa, Keaau, Waimea, and Kailua-Kona. If you're looking just outside these areas, share the neighborhood or subdivision and she'll confirm coverage.

Do you work with both buyers and sellers?

Yes. Shannon provides buyer representation and seller representation through Lei Po'o Real Estate. If you're not sure which path you're on yet, she can help you compare timelines, costs, and next steps.

How do I contact you (phone, email, social)?

Call or text (808) 937-7360 or email shannontakabayashi@gmail.com. You can also connect on social: Facebook (shannon.johnsontakabayashi), Instagram (@shannonrealtor808), or LinkedIn (Shannon Johnson Takabayashi).

What should I send in my first message?

To get useful guidance quickly, include: the area(s) you're considering (for example Hilo or Pahoa), your ideal timeline, and whether you're buying or selling. If you're buying, share your price range and must-haves; if you're selling, share the property address and any recent updates or repairs.

What happens after I reach out?

Shannon will respond to confirm your goals and set a quick call or text check-in. From there, she'll outline a simple plan—showing schedule and offer strategy for buyers, or pricing and prep steps for sellers—so you know exactly what comes next.

Are you licensed in Hawai'i?

Yes. Shannon is a Hawai'i REALTOR®-Associate (License RS-61450) with Lei Po'o Real Estate (RB-27269).
